I have not been blogging lately due to the circumstances in my family and my job. Upon accepting the challenge to be the Campaign Director for 40 Days for Life Tucson, I have been dealing with the biggest amount of spiritual warfare that I have ever had to deal with in my life. I don't want to sound like a negative Nancy, because this experience has strengthened me.
Shortly after accepting the challenge I found that my job was in jeopardy of being renewed due to the budget circumstance. Then my uncle started feeling ill. He went in to have a check up and found that he had stage four lung cancer and a tumor on his brain stem. My uncle Ron faced the cancer head on. He embodied the verse 2 Timothy 4:7 which is as follows:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
Throughout this whole situation of countless surgeries, pneumonia battle, and other procedures my uncle never once complained or lost faith in God. his strength was remarkable and his spirits were a witness to all. His positive attitude and unwavering faith were a testimony of his confident faith in God. Although I mourn the physical loss of him. I celebrate the life he lived and knowing that God first healed him spiritually a few years ago which was the greatest need and this morning He healed him completely.
I must also remember that God rejoices in the deaths of his saints for this reason. Please see Psalms 116:15.
Please continue to pray for my family.
This incident really has reminded me how much I enjoy blogging and just how quick life really is.

Half way there
So we are halfway through the campaign. So far everything has been okay. The hardest part has been getting people out to the site. My hope is that everyone is praying at home but I have to remember it isn't about numbers; quality not quantity. I can tell the prayers are working. The abortionist has contacted Catholic Services to refer women who chose life. So far one known save. I'm continuing to pray for the women, the clinic staff,and the abortionist. I request that all of you do too. Remember some seeds are planted and will harvest later. On my way back toTucson from Philly. Talk soon.

The Government, Cigarettes, and the Unborn
First off, I want to apologize for taking a month break from writing. However, sometimes in order to take care of others we must first take care of ourselves. Please continue to pray for my state that is being overrun by wildfires.
So today's topic incase you didn't realize it, is going to talk about tobacco, the government and the unborn. Oh Kandyce, how ever did this topic cross your mind? Honestly, this topic has plagued my mind for years, and the new pictures on the cigarette ads just sent me into overdrive, literally.
Let me give you some background information about my childhood. I was born in the laste 80's, and grew up in the public education system during the 1990's. First off, I can remember in early elementary school, we had the DARE program, we were also forced to watch videos about smoking and the effects on your oral health, respiratory health, and the impacts it has on the body. Not to mention all the NicoDermCQ commericals that were televised, or the fact that they stopped showing the Marlboro commercials on TV.
If you google images of smoking, the results aren't beautiful at all.
So if everyone knows that smoking is harmful and that it can kill, why does the government continue to make the tobacco companies put more labels and graphic images on the boxes at the tax payers expense. Couldn't this money be better used elsewhere?
If people want to smoke, they are going to smoke- the goverment cannot control the lives of the people that live here. The problem isn't just with smoking, it's with obesity and many other topics. For example: the government started making the school vending machines carry only healthy options to try to combat childhood obesity. Do they not understand that these kids could go home and eat a whole box of cookies if they want? Once again, more money towards an issue that is a personal matter.
So why is the government continuing to throw money at issues that are known issues (i.e. smoking kills and eating junk food with no exercise will make you gain weight)? The government could be using this money to help save the lives of the unborn (3,600 murdered daily in the US), stop the exploitation of minors, or many other criminal activities that occur in the United States on a daily basis.

Dia de Las Madres
Today is a very special day. It is Mother's Day. No matter who you are or where you came from- everyone has a mother. No matter what the situation may be between your mother and yourself, today is a day that you must be thankful for the great gift of life that she gave you. Unselfishly chosing to give you life, carrying you in her womb for 9 months, and going through a painful delivery to bring you into existence. What a gift. No matter if you were an accident, or a miracle there is a purpose for your life and your mom chose to have you.
As I was sitting in my car today, I was overcame with emotion. My mind wondered how those women who have had abortions handle a day like today. Today is probably a very hard day for those women. It is a probably a day of great saddness, a day of questioning, and a day of what ifs. Imagining a life that could have been, imagining a life of possibilities. I can't imagine what it must be like to go to Sunday brunch with your mom and see a mother walk in with a child that would be around the same age as the child that is aborted.
So today, I am praying for all those women. That God would show them a life of fulfillness in Him, forgiveness through Him, and the mercy that only Jesus gives. Secondly, I am praying that God would use their voices to speak out against the atrocity that kills 3,700 babies daily in the US and that these women's voices would change our legislation and keep other women from suffering the way that these women have.
Last and finally, I must thank my mother for chosing life. For giving birth to me and allowing me to live.

In Memory of Joseph Thomas
On Good Friday, a 12-14 week pre-born baby was found dismembered outside the Hilltop Women's Facility in El Paso, Texas. For complete information please see this blogpost by Gabriela Federico, a dear friend of mine: Aborted Baby Found in abortion clinic parking lot
Needless to say the unborn baby has not even been given a proper burial. El Paso Police Department will not even tell us where the remains have been placed. Mike Baranay, El Paso Police Spokesman, has said that: "they were disposed of properly." What does he mean by this. I hope he does not mean that they were thrown in the trash like the other countless victims of Hilltop.

I saw Jesus holding 'thin his hands
An aborted baby, killed by man.
He'd done nothing to deserve this fate

Whether to live or die was not his choice.

He pleaded for his life but no one heard
The screaming cries as his heart was stirred.

Joshua 6: Alive and well in El Paso- and my prayer for this Nation
I have been talking with my friend Gabriela in El Paso and the El Paso crew is doing a Wall of Jericho around the abortion mills in El Paso for the last week of 40 Days for Life. Let us continue to pray that God will move in the hearts and lives of those who are going to these clinics for services. Also let's continue to pray that our lawmakers will see the atrocity that is occuring in our Nation daily all for "women's health".
I believe that God can overturn Roe V. Wade in this nation because in 2 Chronicles 7:14 it says:
"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."
My daily prayer:
Lord, I am praying for the restoration of our Nation that one day all, born and pre-born, will be entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Lord, I am praying for those who cannot have their voices heard. In Your word it says (Proverbs 31:8):
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."
Lord, I believe that this injustice can be overturned. Use me in whatever way You seem fit.

Sorry I have been MIA
Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a few days. I have been under the weather and I lost my dear Aunt Hazel within the past 7 days.
Since her passing, I have found a song called "In My Arms" by Plumb. It reminds me that I will ultimately see her in Heaven because she is safe in Jesus' arms; however, this song also has the perspective of a mother's love for her child. I wish all mother's would love their children enough to not abort them.

Anyways, on to the meat of my post. First off, I am sorry for not blogging the past few days. I had some personal matters to take care of and sometimes we have to take care of ourselves first before we can help others, and that was what I needed to do.

French History Teacher Loses Job Over Abortion Debate
November of 2010, a French history teacher named Philippe Isnard was suspended for handing out prolife matericals and images of aborted babies during an abortion debate in his 10th grade history class. Philippe was a history teacher in Manosque, France. Thursday of last week Isnard was fired from the National Education System of France. Along with being fired, Isnard lost his position without salary, benefits, financial compensation or social welfare.
The firing of Isnard was backed by a pro-abortion feminist group called Prochoix. The group called on the Education Minister to punish Isnard.
The Education Minister, Luc Chatel, stated, "What has happened is unacceptable. Professors are under obligation to respect neutrality and to have respect for the person."
The consequences that have been given to Isnard are considered to be the harshest possible disciplinary measures. With these disciplinary measures, Isnard will no longer be able to teach in any state-funded schools.
Please pray for this man and his wife and two children that the Lord would use this situation to grow him and shape him, and that this family would be taken care of.

Proud to be an Arizonan
House Bill #2416 is supposed to be on Governor Jan Brewer's desk which means that it will be signed in the not too distant future. Why do I make such claims about the future of the bill? Jan Brewer is pro-life and has a voting record to prove it.
So what does this bill do? This bill will require all women seeking the RU-486 pill to get it from a doctor. This pill can no longer be administered by nurse practitioner or medical staff. Bryan Howard, CEO of Planned Parenthood Arizona, stated that if this bill goes into effect Planned Parenthood will not have doctors in the rural areas and it will also delay women seeking abortions in Tucson and Phoenix. The bill also asks that women are asked if they would like to see the ultrasound and heartbeat before the abortion.

McDonnell signs bill- steps made in the right direction
Virginia Governor Mc Donnell signed a bill that would require abortion clinics to be under the same regulations as hospitals. Seventeen of the 21 abortion clinics would have to close temporarily to make the necessary changes to bring the clinic up to code. These regulations will ultimately raise the cost to have an abortion and for that reason it will be more difficult for women to have abortions. Thank you Mc Donnell for making steps to protect women and the unborn.

Defining Personhood
So I asked a pro-choice person this morning is a fetus a human? To which he responded, "why yes ofcourse, fetus is a stage of human development; however, a fetus is NOT a person." When he said this my eyebrow rose. How can a fetus be a human and yet not a person? Trust me, I spent hours running my mind through every possibility and it is scary no matter how I look at the situation. So first we shall compare the dictionary definitions:
human- noun; a member of any of the races of the species Homo sapiens; a person; man woman, or child.
person- noun;
1. a human being, whether man, woman, or child: The table seats four persons.

For example: in definition #3 with a focus on Sociology it mentions a person as being defined by their behavior and social relationships; however, I am fearful to define a person based on that because if we defined a person based on their social relationships- would an autistic individual or someone who lacks social skills not be a person?
However, the scariest definition is the one defined in Law. A person is a human being recognized by law as having rights and duties. Since when does law decide who is a human being deserving of rights? Oh wait, they already do- ever since Roe v. Wade. First of all, this reminds me of the Holocaust when Hitler said the Jews were not people. How about putting the Native Americans on reservations because they were "savages", does that sound familiar? What are you fighting for?
I received a private message on Twitter today from a loyal follower and they asked me, "What are you fighting for?" I thought about this question for a few minutes. My first reaction was to respond back stating have you not read my tweets, I think it is fairly clear that I am fighting for life.
So what am I fighting for. After a few minutes of pausing and really reflecting here are my thoughts:
I am sure there is more that I am fighting for but now it is good to know my goal, my purpose, my vision.

- I am fighting for the unborn- that they may have a voice and have it heard.
- I am fighting with the hope that one day the term "prochoice" means that you chose whether to raise your baby or give it up for adoption.
- I am fighting for our taxpayer dollars to be used to do good works, not to end countless lives that have so much potential.
- I am fighting for women's rights- fighting so that women will not have abortions and be susceptible to breast cancer, health risks, psychological torment, and the other negative effects of abortion.
- I am fighting that all women with unplanned pregnancies may have the chance to hear God's Word.
- I am fighting for life.
I am sure there is more that I am fighting for but now it is good to know my goal, my purpose, my vision.

Oh the Tangled Web You Weave Planned Parenthood
February 21, 2011 Planned Parenthood CEO, Cecile Richards, stopped by the morning talk show The View to talk with pro-abortion Joy Behar, a pro-abortion supporter, and her talk show correspondents. During this interview they discussed the possible defunding of Planned Parenthood. Cecile stated, “If this bill ever becomes law, millions of women in this country are going to lose their health care access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning – you know, mammograms, cancer screenings, cervical cancer.”
Unfortunately, Cecile Richards mislead the viewers when she said that women would lose access to mammograms if Planned Parenthood was defunded, because Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms on women. No mammograms are performed as a service to women in any Planned Parenthood facility across the country. Planned Parenthood gives referrals to other medical institutions to provide mammograms. Unfortunately, Cecile Richards mislead the viewers when she said that women would lose access to mammograms if Planned Parenthood was defunded, because Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms on women. No mammograms are performed as a service to women in any Planned Parenthood facility across the country. Planned Parenthood gives referrals to other medical institutions to provide mammograms.
